Established around 1997 in Elizabethtown, North Carolina, and relocated to Flat Creek, Tennessee in 2006, Golden Gaits Farm is a 300 acre spread owned by veterinarians Bryant and Wendy Morton. We used to raise colorful gaited (and sometimes curly) horses and Friesian horses. Now we concentrate on Hereford and Hereford/Angus grass fed beef, poultry of many varieties, horse and cattle hay. We also own and operate Lynchburg Veterinary Hospital in Lynchburg, TN. Our other 'hobby' is Barking Pig BBQ where we compete, cater, and set up concessions at events. Whiskey old Fashioned is our antiques/home decor business. Almost all of our sales are out of Perfect Picker in Lynchburg TN! Our most important job is raising our two exceptional young men who are currently 17 and 20 years old. Alex attends high school at McCallie in Chattanooga. Bart is a sophomore at MTSU.

The farm is not open daily to visitors, as we stay busy with our 'other' jobs too! Contact us if you'd like to visit and we'd be glad to schedule you. Please note that Wendy had a severe and rare SCAD heart attack in December 2018 with lifetime health restrictions,  and we will not be as accessible as usual.
